ABOUT THIS PROGRAM AND HOW TO OBTAIN MCLE SELF-STUDY CREDITS BY VIEWING.

Note: The order of the presentations of any previously recorded program are in the order of the presentations at the seminar. Most field recordings are chopped into three segments (to make the large files manageable). You can skip through a presentation and locate another presentation you wish to hear by moving the little round progress-bar button to the right (just below the volume and pause/play controls on the lower left of the screen. And when viewing a program, the progress bar button will move all the way to the far right. When the video progress bar reaches the end of the video segment, the next video clip in the queue will move up so you can press the play button and continue on with the seminar presentations in the chronological order they were delivered at the seminar

Note: You must attend the program in person to obtain PARTICIPATORY MCLE Credits. Viewing live broadcasts of these seminars if indicated, will qualify for the SELF-STUDY category of MCLE credits. Up to one-half of the required MCLE credits per reporting period may be obtained via Self-Study MCLE credits. For self-study credits, attorneys keep their own record of viewing/listening (there are no "certificates of attendance" provided at self-study events. Simply note the information in your self-study log. Sample self-study logs are available for download from the state bar's website, see link below.

CPDA's full calendar of events for upcoming programs can be viewed at this link.

Notes: CPDA conducts at least 12 - 14 onsite training programs per year and the programs are held in major cities throughout California. The goal is to make it possible for all CPDA members to view on the CPDA members web site, significant portions of each and every seminar as they occur (with some exceptions). This is a great membership benefit (tons of self-study credits). Yes, there's still a need to attend a few of the CPDA programs in person per year to obtain the participatory credits, but this new membership benefit will be especially important for those CPDA members living in regions of California that make it difficult to travel to many of the monthly programs, and for those who have schedules that prohibit attending seminars even though the information is important to have for current case(s). However, with all of the above in mind, please also note that it is absolutely impossible to guarantee that the live broadcast programs will stream without issues. The Internet is young, fragile, and not terribly dependable in most places outside of the major cities, even in California. Major weather fronts can interfere with data transmission over microwave and other wireless facilities beyond the control of even your own local service provider and that of CPDA as well. So, if you REQUIRE any of the information expected from ANY of the lectures noted below, we encourage you to attend in person such programs to ensure that you are able to obtain the information at the time the lecture(s) are delivered. CPDA cannot guarantee that any of these presentations will stream uninterrupted, it's just the nature of the Internet at this point that it is not a sure thing that these programs will stream without dropouts, sound problems, or other Internet data transmission issues that are beyond the control of CPDA.
